The Big Bang Team
Once you have tasted the energy between the elderly and the young, it will never let you go. It changes you forever.
Myriam, Elise, Ronny, Rudy, Dirk, Didi, René and Jeanine, eight older Ghent citizens (60 to 85), together use their qualities for Jongenoudingent. Sometimes they appear in the city magazine, in a work of art at the Light Festival, in a cooking project of Aroma's vzw or in GENERATIONS film café or they write a kasala poem with students, do a cuddly performance with toddlers, etc... If it's crazy enough, they are in for everything !
Together with Bie Hinnekint, employee of the Age-Friendly City team, they form a brand new team that is bursting with seniority energy and intergenerational plans. This year, in a jury with high school students, they will reward three intergenerational initiatives in Ghent with a prize. More info at www.jongoudingent.be
No one knows what the Big Bang really is. It is in fact a great metaphor that allows us to deal with something that is in itself inexplicable and incomprehensible: the beginning of all time.
(as inexplicable as the vitality in contact between the oldest and youngest generations)
